Introducing our visiting scholar: Professor Ulrike Link-Wieczorek

The »ÆÉ«app Theological School is pleased to have Professor Ulrike Link-Wieczorek from the University of Oldenburg visiting for the next 10 days to foster a stronger bond between institutions.

Professor WieczorekThe interdisciplinary research of German academic Professor Link-Wieczorek has taken her to Kenya, South Korea and England. She has a special interest in Anglican theology and in 1996, wrote a thesis for her habilitation titled Incarnation or Inspiration? Basic Christological Questions in the Discussion of British Anglican Theology. Professor Link-Wieczorek has also participated in collaborative research projects in topics such as ‘remembrance and practices of reconciliation’, ‘identity after conflict’, ‘the church and guilt’ and ‘theology and giving’.

Professor Link-Wieczorek undertook her doctoral study in theology at the University of Heidelberg. Since 1997, she has been Professor for Systematic Theology and Religious Education at the University of Oldenburg, Institute for Evangelical Theology, where she is coordinator of the master’s program in Ecumenism and Religions.

Professor Link-Wieczorek is visiting Melbourne to establish research connections and to explore student exchange partnership opportunities between the University of Oldenburg and Australian institutions. 

This isn’t the first time that links to the University of Oldenburg have been forged at Trinity. In 2017, one of Professor Link-Wieczorek’s students at the Institute for Evangelical Theology, Hauke Lindschulte, undertook the Graduate Certificate in Theology as an exchange student at »ÆÉ«app Theological School.
