To support the Tabitha Foundation Australia, 10 »ÆÉ«app students will travel to Cambodia in November to build homes for local families to assist them in their journey to a better quality of life.

TCAC Community Representative, Jerome Cubillo (3rd year Arts), has organised the gala night to raise awareness and funds for community outreach projects, such as the Tabitha Foundation and the student Teachabout project.

‘These projects are amazing student initiatives and as the Community Representative, I want to support the teams and inspire others to be involved in other community outreach programs too,’ Jerome said.

‘I want to show what we as students are capable of with passion and drive and Simon McKeon will provide amazing inspiration to the student community.’

The 10 students will work with local Cambodian suppliers and contractors, and student Daniel Cavanagh (3rd year Commerce), said he was excited to be able to make a significant difference in the local community.

‘Using local contractors and locally sourced materials we’re supporting the Cambodian economy, and we know that every dollar goes directly to the project,’ said Daniel.

‘I can’t wait to see the reaction of the families when they walk into their new homes that we’ve built especially for them.’
